Below are some frequently asked questions that may answer questions you have in regard to accomplishing specific tasks while on the ASCRS website.  If there is something that you feel should be on here, please let us know.

  1. Q: How can I find my membership expiration date?
    A: 
    After you login from the login box on the left side of the homepage, your name, membership expiration date and a link to access your account will appear in place of the login box.
  2. Q: What is my login and password to access the password protected areas of the website?
    A: 
    If you don't remember your password, click on the "forgot password?" link that is in the login box on the left side of the homepage.
    User name: Either your ASCRS member number or a user name you specified.
    Password: The first letter of your first name, and up to seven letters of your last name. (Maximum of 8 characters all in lowercase). 
  3. Q: How do I order ASCRS/ASOA publications?
    A: You can order publications from the ASOA online book store.  If you are a member of ASCRS or ASOA, you will receive these publications at a discount.  If you are not a member you may still purchase publications but at full price.  You can place your order at: http://shop.asoa.org
  4. Q: How can I attain my CME credits for past meetings?
    A:
     You can attain CME credits for past meetings by logging into the site, and then clicking on the "Access My Account" link that is located on the top the left side of the homepage after you successfully login.  Once you reach this page, click on the left menu link labeled "Continuing Education."
  5. Q: How can I access the articles from the latest issue of The Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery?
    A: 
    You can access all JCRS articles at the new Journal website:  www.jcrsjournal.org.

    Instructions:
    1. Go to www.jcrsjournal.org and click Register at the top right.
    2. Fill in requested information, including a User Name and Password.  When finished, click Register at bottom.  If you already have a username and password, simply Log in
    3. You will be taken to a page thanking you for registering.  Click Activate Online Access.  Find the box titled My society membership includes this journal.
    4. Select American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery or European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons from the drop-down list.  Enter your society member number and your last name.  Click Claim Access.
    5. You will now enjoy full-text access to Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  Click on the available link to return to the journal’s homepage.
  6. Q: How do I ensure that I receive my monthly publications as well as e-mail communications?
    A: 
    It is important to keep your membership information current.  This includes both your address and demographics.  Keeping this information current will ensure that you receive all of our publications as well as e-mail communications.
