The program offers opportunities for integrated staff development, featuring tracks for ophthalmologists, optometrists, practice management staff and nurses and technicians. Additionally, residents and fellows are offered programming to supplement their current training. COS offers education for your entire practice in one weekend.
The Ophthalmologist Program will be held Saturday, August 12, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 13, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The 2017 program chairs are Douglas Koch, MD, Thomas W. Samuelson, MD, and Sumitra Khandelwal, MD. They’ll joined by an esteemed faculty who’ll deliver the high-quality educational programming for which ASCRS is recognized.
“The 2017 COS has a fantastic, diverse faculty who will share new and highly relevant material geared toward comprehensive ophthalmologists,” Dr. Koch said. “We will have time for questions and discussion both in sessions and informally with the faculty. We want attendees to leave with a lot of new information that they can apply immediately in their practices.”
The Symposium will address multiple relevant and timely topics in ophthalmology, including:
Cataract Surgery: Basics and Beyond
Premium Cataract Surgery
Glaucoma: The Pressure is On!
Simple Cataract, Complex Eye
Cataract Surgery in the Glaucoma Patient
Cataract Surgery in the Cornea Patient
Dry Eye Debates
NEW in 2017: The Future of Ophthalmology
COS also offers an exhibit hall featuring many of ophthalmology’s corporate partners. The meeting provides an excellent opportunity for all members of the ophthalmic practice to network with leading companies in a relaxed and intimate setting.
