Sumit (Sam) Garg, MD

Dr. Garg has held several leadership roles within ASCRS, including Chief Medical Editor of EyeWorld magazine and chair of the ASCRS YES Clinical Committee. Dr. Garg has been involved extensively in meeting planning and education development throughout his tenure within the Society.

He is the Medical Director of the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, Vice Chair of Clinical Ophthalmology, and Professor within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine.
