Purpose:
To evaluate refractive and visual parameters related to distance, intermediate and near vision after cataract surgery and the optical quality in 3mm and 5mm diameter pupil of LISA tri. 839MP trifocal intraocular lens (IOL).
Methods:
Patient had refractive lens exchange and multifocal diffractive IOL (AT Lisa tri. 839MP) implantation. A complete ophthalmology examination was performed preoperatively and postoperatively. The follow-up was 3 months. The main outcomes measures were uncorrected distance(UDVA), intermedia(UIVA), near (UNVA), corrected distance (CDVA), distance-corrected intermedia(DCIVA), and distance-corrected near(DCNVA) visual acuity; manifest refraction; and aberrations (total, corneal, internal, coma, trefoil, spherical).
Results:
There was significant improvement in UDVA, UIVA, UNVA, CDVA, DCIVA, DCNVA. The postoperative refractive status was within the range of -1.5 to 0.50D. In 3mm and 5mm diameter pupil, Total internal, total high-order internal, total, total high-order, total spherical aberrations decreased significantly (p<0.05).>0.05).>
Conclusions:
The trifocal IOL improved near, intermediate, and distance vision and optic quality in high myopic patients with AL longer than 25mm.
