The Yamane technique, used for the secondary insertion of an intraocular lens, has gained wide adoption. In this technique, the end of the haptics is flanged after being derived with double needles. We have devised a Yamane variant in which the haptics are introduced directly into the scleral tunnel and named it the ""Flangeless-Yamane technique.""
