Trypan blue can be a helpful tool to stain the anterior capsule of the lens to help perform a capsulorhexis during cataract surgery. We have utilized a novel technique to stain with trypan blue using viscoelastic to pressurize the capsule. Our technique stains the capsule a more uniform darker blue while providing anterior pressure to prevent complications like an ‘Argentinian Flag Sign’.
