We describe a modified 'inside-out' 'no-nuclear-rotation' technique for tackling moderate to hard cataracts. Multiple zones of hydro-delineation, a vertical chop to remove a pie shaped nuclear fragment is carried out. This technique significantly shortens the operating time of the surgeon and the quantum of phaco-power used as reflected by the cumulative dissipation energy. Outcomes improved.
