SALK is a well-described lamellar corneal surgery. Automated microkeratome assisted SALK can lead to creation of a lenticule that is smaller in diameter than the host cut. We describe a rescue technique that helps in creation of a crescent-shaped autograft which can aid the surgeon to complete the procedure successfully even if an inadvertently undersized donor corneal lenticule is cut.
