Implantation of an intraocular lens in the capsular bag is the surgical ideal. However, in some cases, complete lens dislocation into the vitreous chamber or capsular contraction following complicated cataract surgery can make achieving this ideal difficult. We propose surgical solutions to restore the capsular bag in extreme situations.
