This video will describe the intraocular reactions expected to occur immediately after cataract surgery with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation and in the long-term, defining uveal and capsular biocompatibility. The video will be illustrated with data from in vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies comparing different IOL materials.
