While attending the 2025 ASCRS Annual meeting a 67 year old ophthalmologist decided to try drops to decrease presbyopia. Within minutes he experienced a central scotoma. A macular OCT revealed vitreomacular traction (VMT) with foveal schisis in his only good eye. After a harrowing 90 minutes the scotoma began to resolve. Repeat OCT 2 hours after the first showed that the VMT had nearly resolved.
