A new approach for the removal of a Soemmering ring using an intraocular lens injector is presented. The IOL injector is repurposed here as an aspiration device, offering a controlled, and efficient method for lens material extraction, reducing the risk of lens material dislocating into the posterior segment. This novel use of a familiar tool could redefine the approach to managing lens material.
