Closing the Gap: Excimer in the Finishing Role: Therapeutic Regularization and Refractive Refinement

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:

Differentiate refractive versus therapeutic indications for excimer laser enhancement in post-refractive surgery eyes, including symptomatic irregular corneas.
Apply a structured pre-enhancement workup (history, ocular surface, topography/tomography, epithelial mapping/aberrometry when available) to select appropriate candidates and reduce the risk of postoperative dissatisfaction.
Compare surgical strategies and sequencing for excimer enhancement after prior excimer surgery, after KLEX, and after phakic IOL implantation—balancing predictability, optical quality, and safety (biomechanical/ectasia and haze risk).
