ASCRS Live! Earns High Praise from Attendees
ASCRS Live!, the new regional dinner series making its way to nine cities across the U.S., has already completed two events and is getting positive reviews from attendees who have spent an evening learning and engaging with faculty and local colleagues.
According to recent surveys, 100% of attendees who responded said they learned something new in the program and would recommend attending to their colleagues.

ASCRS is accepting nominations for the Executive Committee position of 2025 ASCRS Secretary.
ASCRS Secretary is a position on the ASCRS Executive Committee with succession responsibilities, including Treasurer, Vice President/President Elect, and ultimately 2028 President.
To nominate an ophthalmologist for the position of Secretary on the ASCRS Executive Committee, please send an email to [email protected], describing how the nominee meets the following criteria: a member in good standing/service to ASCRS, contributions to scholarly research, presentations at national/international meetings, teaching activities, leadership qualities, clinical/surgical expertise and reputation, and industry/corporate relations/collaborations.
Submissions are due July 5.

Submit Your Idea to The Winning Pitch Challenge—Cash Prizes Available!
The Winning Pitch Challenge had a successful run at Eyecelerator @ ASCRS and its already gearing up for its next chapter at Eyecelerator @ AAO in October! This Shark Tank-like competition offers ophthalmologists the chance to advance their innovative idea that addresses unmet needs in eyecare.
Submissions for The Winning Pitch Challenge at Eyecelerator @ AAO are due August 1.
All applicants who advance to Round 2 will receive an industry mentor and guidance for their idea/innovation. From there, the three finalists will advance to Round 3 where they will present live at the Eyecelerator* meeting October 17 in Chicago, Illinois. There they’ll compete for cash prizes worth up to $25,000 and be exposed to many networking opportunities and potential resources!
*Eyecelerator is a partnership between ASCRS and the American Academy of Ophthalmology to support innovation in ophthalmology.
