In addition to live dinner events, ASCRS Live! is also offering a virtual roundtable series.
The first roundtable, focusing on MIGS, is now available online. Arsham Sheybani, MD, leads a discussion with Deborah Ristvedt, DO, Carlos Buznego, MD, and Inder Paul Singh, MD, which highlights glaucoma management in the setting of anterior segment surgery.
Panelists give an overview of different MIGS procedures, discuss their favorite MIGS, provide pearls for choosing a procedure, and discuss complications and challenges that may occur during surgery and postoperatively.
Remaining roundtables in this ASCRS Live! series will cover a refractive update, as well as cataract and retina.

ASCRS Foundation Awards Submissions
The ASCRS Foundation offers several unique award and grant opportunities. Submission periods for several of these awards are open now! Don’t miss your chance to apply and/or nominate for the Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award, the Young Eye Surgeons (YES) International Service Grant, and the Resident Excellence Awards. Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award
Submissions open August 11–October 1
Endowed by the generosity of David and Victoria Chang, the Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award is made annually to recognize the life’s work of those who inspire excellence in the field of global cataract surgery. This award highlights unseen superstars of humanitarian eyecare—the sight-givers who have dedicated lifetimes to helping individual patients and to changing the world.
Young Eye Surgeons (YES) International Service Grant|
Submissions open August 11–September 29
The Young Eye Surgeons International Service Grant was created to inspire young eye surgeons to become involved with global eyecare on a long-term basis. The grant affords the opportunity to participate in healthcare systems, including teaching institutions and community programs, in developing countries.
Resident Excellence Awards
Submissions open September 1–November 14
The ASCRS Foundation makes 10 Resident Excellence Awards annually to enable ophthalmology residents exhibiting exemplary performance to attend the ASCRS Annual Meeting. The categories for consideration include research, patient care, leadership, and education.

This episode covered a case of recurrent hyphema in an eye with previous goniotomy, presented by Lauren Hock, MD, and Moon Jeong Lee, MD. A second case, “Too Close for Comfort,” covered a glaucoma patient who presented with graft failure after endothelial keratoplasty, presented by Zeba Syed, MD, Eric Lee, and Bryce Hwang. Kamran Riaz, MD, and Aakriti Garg Shukla, MD, moderated the session, with panelists Inas Aboobakar, MD, Ben Harvey, MD, and Michael Pro, MD.
