Porcine eyes are good in size for wet lab, but they are too young to mimic senile cataract in nature. Researchers have published various methods to reproduce cataracts, but have not been able to adequately. The microwave surgical device can generate thermal coagulation locally. Models of nuclear cataracts like mature and polar cataracts, can be created quickly using different probes.
